Music History

Before Tami Graves (born August 2, 1975) was discovered, she was a member of gospel choirs from middle school in her native Brooklyn, New York. She performed on many stages including the winning at the famous Apollo amateur Night in 1993. She won several honors including being a top ten finalist in the Daily News Lena Horne Home Scholarship, as a finalist she performed for the divine Lena Horne herself. Along with numerous performances she has done background vocals for Tonca & Friends, recruits and rolling Tones.

Tami's big break came while performing in Saint Maarten for a Jazz concert where she teamed up with songwriter/producer D'Niscio Brooks. D'Niscio took on the project of putting together this forthcoming album "desolately different".
